Mohs Surgery is a specialized, highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer. Dr.

Rudolph is now a certified and trained member of the AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR MOHS SURGERY, with the equipment, lab and staff needed to serve you. This procedure was first developed by Dr. Frederic Mohs at the University of Wisconsin and is now practiced throughout the world. MOHS SURGERY differs from other skin cancer treatments in that it permits the immediate and complete microscopic examination of the removed cancerous tissue, so that all roots and extensions of the cancer can be identified and eliminated. Due to the methodical manner in which tissue is removed and examined, MOHS SURGERY has been recognized as the skin cancer treatment with the highest reported cure rate.

MOHS SURGERY is typically reserved for facial areas or for skin cancers that have recurred following prior treatment. The procedure is done right in the office and is usually completed in 3 or fewer stages, requiring just a few hours, leaving one of the smallest scars after surgery. THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR MOHS SURGERY was established in 1990 and has experienced continuous growth while honoring its commitment to providing patients the best of surgical care. Dr. Rudolph and his staff are looking forward to scheduling appointments for all of you interested in finding out more about the advantage of this specialized field.
