10A Sebastian Sun, Week of January 17, 2003 OBITUARIES Jean Baldwin Jean A. Baldwin, 73, of Barefoot Bay, died Jan. 10, 2003, at her residence after a prolonged illness. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Reading, and moved to Barefoot Bay five years ago from her birthplace.

Miss Baldwin was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Orioles Auxiliary, both in Sebastian. Surviving is one brother, Robert Baldwin, of Wyomissing, Pa. No services were scheduled. Cremation services were provided by Indian River Cremation Vero Beach. Vivian Flanagan Vivian King Flanagan, 81, of Sebastian and Cherry Tree, died Jan.

9, 2003, in Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Emeigh, and moved to Sebastian 11 years ago from Margate. Mrs. Flanagan graduated from Green Township High School of Commodore, in 1941.

She was a member of the Pine Flats Church of God, Pine Flats, and was a past Worthy Matron of the Barnesboro Chapter No. 447 Order of the Eastern Star, Barnesboro, Pa. She was an active member of the Chapter No. 204 Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Kay Flanagan, of Sebastian, and Marilyn Vi-vian Walinzer, of Blairsville, one son, Timmy Roland Flanagan, of Coral Spring; four sisters, Elaine Murphy, Rowena Nagle, Elva Jean Greenway and Kathleen Beck; two brothers, John King, and Thomas King; six grandchildren and four great The Sebastian Eastern Star Chapter No.

204. held a service Jan. 12 at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian. Mrs. Flanagan was transferred to Rairegh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, for services and burial in Uniontown Cemetery, Union Town, Pa.

Merle Freeland Merle A. Freeland, 91, of Sebastian, died Jan. 8, 2003, at Dixie Oak Manor, Vero Beach, after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Freeland was born April 1, 1911, in Perry County, Pa.

and moved to Sebastian five years ago from Naples. Mrs. Freeland was a homemaker and a member of Sebastian United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Harrisburg, Pa. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Freeland, of Harrisburg, Earl Freeland, of Sebastian, John Freeland, of Roanoke, and Ralph Freeland, of Naples; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs.

Freeland will be transferred to Stone Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland, for services and burial in New Port Cemetery, New Port, Pa. Local arrangements are under the direction of Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian. David Heath David Earl Heath, 56, of Se- bastian, died unexpectedly Jan. 10, 2003, in Fort Pierce. He was born May 13, 1946, in Jessup, and moved to Sebastian a year and a half ago from Pompano Beach.

Mr. Heath worked for the City of Lighthouse Point as an auto mechanic for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Joanna Heath; four sons, David Heath, of Tampa, Thomas Heath and Christopher Heath, both of Pompano Beach, and Darryl Heath, of Sebastian; three daughters, Kim Miller and Jewel Fournier, both of Pompano Beach, and Brittany Heath, of Sebastian; four sisters, Darlene Archambealt, and Maryanne Miller, both of Jessup, Margaret Slater of Fort Pierce, and Gail Rothfeldt, of Mobile, three brothers, Stephen Heath, of Jessup, Westley Heath, of Parkland, and Lawrence Heath of Fort SRMC Fit Nose" "Draining, For Allergies Itching health Life their Sneezing series Treatment presented by Joseph A.

Lowther Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Bridgers of The Crossing Community Church, officiating. Claire Lasky Claire C. Lasky, 78, of Barefoot Bay, died unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2003, at Holmes Medical Center, 'Melbourne.

She was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Barefoot Bay 20 years ago from North Bellmore, N.Y. Mrs. Lasky was a homemaker. She was a member of the Barefoot Bay Garden Club, and taught swimming at the Barefoot Bay swimming pool.

Surviving are one daughter, Christine Ryan, of Palm Bay; four sons, Robert Lasky, of Cobleskill, N.Y., Richard Lasky, of Tacoma, Ronald Lasky, of Sebastian, and Roger Lasky, of Sharon Springs, N.Y.; one sister, June Baldwin, of Homosassa; one brother, Alvin Lotz, of Martinez, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Jan. 13 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Barefoot Bay. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Indian River Cremation Vero Beach. Edward McAleer Edward Charles "Eddie Mac" McAleer, 60, of Vero Beach, died Jan. 7, 2003, at Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach, after a prolonged illness. He was born Aug. 23, 1942, in Long Island, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach six years ago from Bethel, Conn.

Mr. McAleer worked for the former Plasticrete of Danbury, the former B.J. Dolan's of Bethel and of Danbury, Conn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St.

Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Barbara; three daughters, Barbara St. Germain, of Fairfield, Patricia Kenny, of Sebastian, and Sherrie McGary, of Vero Beach; two sons, Michael McAleer, of Danbury, and Robert Paugh, of Vero Beach; his mother, Margaret McAleer, of Danbury; five sisters, Mary Morrill, of Bethel, Kathleen Skandera, of Woodbury, Eileen McAleer, of South Salem, N.Y., Alice Carboni, of Richfield, and Regina Bell, of Hampton, N.J.; one brother, John McAleer, of North Andover, and eight grandchildren. A memorial Mass was held at St. Helen Catholic Church.

Gloria Putnam Gloria L. Putnam, 73, of Vero Beach, died unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2003, at her residence. She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Boston, and moved to Vero Beach four months ago from Barefoot Bay.

Mrs. Putnam worked as a computer specialist for 15 years with Thermo Electron, Waltham, Mass. She attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian. Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Holmes, of Quincy, two grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass was Jan. 10 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, P.O. Box 644, Vero Beach, Fla.

Leo Ryan Leo Roscoe Ryan, 82, of Barefoot Bay and Hamburg, N.Y., died Jan. 8, 2003, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland. He was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y., and had been a seasonal resident of Barefoot Bay for the past nine years.

Mr. Ryan worked for the South Buffalo Railroad before his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 0880 in Eden, N.Y.; a member of the Barefoot Bay Golf Club; and a member of the Orioles and of the Loyal Order of Moose, both in Sebastian. Surviving are two brothers, Larry Ryan and William Ryan, both of Hamburg, N.Y.; and one sister, Joan Miller, of Hamburg.

There will be no repose or visitation. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to the Barefoot Bay 19th Hole Building Fund, P.O.

6, 2003, in Sebastian. He was born July 10, 1958, in Bristol, and moved to Sebastian in 1996 from his birthplace. Mr. Webster was the former owner of Home Style Hoagie in Sebastian and was currently employed with Fischer Sons as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Sebastian Italian American Club.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra; two daughters, Jena Webster and Abbie Webster, both of Sebastian; one son, Anthony Gavin Webster, of Plainville, his mother, Margaret Webster, of Port St. Lucie; two brothers, Jack Webster, of Naples, and Larry Webster, of Avon, three sisters, Karen Curtis, of Sebastian, Debbie Webster, of Bristol, and Dorian Miller, of Tennessee. in to The funeral was Jan. 9 at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian. Merwin Woodard Merwin S.

Woodard, 83, of Micco, died Jan. 9, 2003, at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Port Jefferson, N.Y., and moved to Micco in 1979 from his birthplace. Mr.

Woodard was the chief clerk of the Surrogate Court for Suffolk Long Island, N.Y. for 35 years. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Class of 1939. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, and a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge, both in Sayville, N.Y. He was a committeeman for Brookhaven, N.Y.; a member and past president of the Republican Club, Port Jefferson, N.Y.; and a U.S.

Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ora; one son, Dr. Craig Woodard, of Miami; three daughters, Adele Hough, of Shoreham, N.Y., Kim Meyer, of Wilmington, N.C., and Gina Baldwin, of Malabar; one brother, Randall Woodard, of Port Jefferson, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and three grandchildren.
