I The Jupiter Courier NEWSWEEKLY The Community Choice Since 1957 Niels D. Nevad Niels D. Nevad, 64 of Cocoa passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday December 17,2012.

Born in Plainfield, NJ. Mr. Nevad family, moved to Jupiter, Fla. in the 1950's. Mr.Nevad graduated from Jupiter High School Class of 1965 were he would earn multiple football honors, and a football scholarship to Ball State bachelors University in Indiana.He earned his degree in education from University of Central Fla.

His professional career included teaching and coaching at Bishop Moore High School Apopka High School, Lake Worth High School, Merritt Island High School, Welch High School, in Oklahoma and the Amarillo Independent School District of Texas. Niels, is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan Neef Nevad of Cocoa, Fla. A daughter Trace Anne (Nick) Taylor of Linsborg, Kansas. A son David Niels (Carri) of Rockledge, Fla. Brothers James (Gerri) Nevad of Lake Worth and Francis (Susan) Nevad of Boynton Beach.

Four special grandchildren Nathan, Raeanne, Trey Nevad and Margaret Taylor. Many nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts friends and the Jupiter Class of 65. She had been an area resident for 33 and an active member of the local years community. She is survived by two sons, Blair M. Kiskaddon of Scottsdale, Ariz.

and R. Todd Kiskaddon of Hendersonville, N.C.; as well as two granddaughters, Hilary and Hanna Kiskaddon. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert Kiskaddon. Maud was born and raised in Basking Ridge, N.J. She graduated from Trenton State Teacher's College with a degree in music education.

Through her career she was a teacher, guidance counselor, accomplished musician and community volunteer. She participated actively in local cultural and philanthropic efforts. Her interests led her to hold Board of Director positions in the Loxahatchee Historical Society and the Loxahatchee Guild, in which she also served as president (1985-86 and 2000-01) and gala chairperson (1988 and 2003). She chaired the "Seafare" event for the Historical Society (1995-1999) to benefit the Loxahatchee Inlet Lighthouse and was Volunteer of the Year in 1996. She named also chaired the "Artigras Art Festival," benefitting the Lighthouse from 1995 to 1997.

Her devotion to all these endeavors was She was praised and honored exemplary. for all her volunteer work and admired by all who knew her. A remembrance gathering is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 11, 2013. Memorial donations may be sent to the Loxahatchee Guild, P.O.
