COMMUNITYOBITUARIES SCHOU NIELSEN Schou Nielsen, 98, of Tequesta, formerly of Sun City Center, and Bergenfield, N.J,, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and came to the United States in 1937. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and a business executive who served as a director on the boards of a number of U.S foreign corporations.

He attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sun City Center, since its founding in 1979, until moving to Tequesta this year. For many years, he volunteered on the Sun City Center Emergency Squad and Security Patrol. He is survived by Solveig, 88, his beloved wife of 63 years, as well as son Eric and wife Mary, of San Jose, and son Peter and wife Linda, of Jupiter. He leaves three married grandchildren; Jesse (Jennifer), Christopher (Catherine) and Samuel (Kirby), as well as five great-grandchildren; Penelope, Grover, Grant, Madison and McKinley. RICHARD BRIAN BLACK Many family and friends celebrated recently the life of Richard Brian Black who died on Friday, Oct.

24, 2014. After a brave battle with brain cancer, he died peacefully at his home in Tequesta surrounded by his family. Black, 57, was born in West Palm Beach to Richard S. and Anne Higgins Black. As a young man he was introduced to fishing, boating and waterskiing and his lifelong passion for the ocean was born.

He graduated from Forest Hill High School where he discovered and honed his skills as the premier party promoter. He then joined his family business, R.S. Black, Inc. In 1980, Richard married his junior high school sweetheart, Kathy Rinker, and they started their family three years later. The family moved to Tequesta in 1989.

He and his brother-in-law, Skip Rinker, acquired and restored The Farmer's Market in West Palm Beach. In 1995, he founded Grand Slam Sportfishing Supply in Jupiter and began his legacy of organizing the area's leading fishing tournaments, donating the money raised to numerous local charities. He is survived by his wife, Kathy and their children, Chris (Brittany), Sarah (Ben) Dritenbas, Bubba (Carly) and Billy; his parents, Rick and Cissy Black; his sister, Debi (Skeeter) Lewis; his brother Doug (Lynn) Black; as well as his large extended family. He was "Grumpa" to his cherished grandchildren, Bryson, Kane, Finn, Austin, Dakoda and Bo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Coastal Conservation Association Florida (CCA Florida), P.O. Box 568886, Orlando, FL 32856. A memorial service was conducted at 10 a.m.

on Saturday, Nov. 1, at First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach, 717 Prosperity Farms Road, with burial service following at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road, in Tequesta. JOSEPHINE VACCARO Josephine Vaccaro died at the age of 82 on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 after a long bout with cancer. She retired from Queens General Hospital in New York after many years, eventually moving to Florida at the Bluffs in Jupiter.

She leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Neal, and two sons Neal A. and Michael; six grandchildren Jason, Geisha, Joanna, Erica, Amanda, and last but not least Anniela. Also survived by her brother, Emanuel, and in-laws Steve, Michael and Debra. Visitation was on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 3 to 8 p.m.

at Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Oct.30 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens. Burial was at St.

Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
