Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL http://seawindsfh.com ANNE GUEVREMONT Age 89, of Sebastian, FL, passed away on MARY YOUNG JOHNSON Mrs. Mary Young Johnson, 101, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her home. She was born Mary Pope Taylor, in Atlantic City, NJ January 30, 1913 to Samuel and Martha Taylor. Mary grew up in Haddenfield, NJ and attended and graduated from Beaver College, in Jenkinstown, Mary and her parents to Vero Beach in 1934, where she's loved every minute of living here.

Her father owned a construction company and her mother was the first woman to be elected to the City Council. Mary married James "Jim" Winston Young and they spent much of their married life traveling throughout the US and Europe. Sadly, Jim passed away after a marriage of 55 years. In 1997, Mary married her long time friend, Sidney Johnson who later predeceased her. Mary was member St.

Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Vero Beach and served as the organist for Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero for 30 years. She's enjoyed golfing during her 72 year membership at Vero Beach Country Club, and was an avid bridge player. Survivors include son James W. Young, Jr. (Sonia) of Vero Beach, daughter Martha "Molly" Gray (John) of Vero Beach, grandchildren Vickie Williams, J.

Patrick Young, A. Scott Young, J. Michael Gray and Gretchen Nelson, and eight great In addition to her husbands, she preceded in death by siblings William G. Taylor, Louise E. Taylor and Martha Ray Taylor.

Stewart, Sr. passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 18, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William Steele and Sarah Pope Stewart of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Bill is the great grandnephew of Alfred Atmore Pope of "Hill-Stead" in Farmington, Connecticut. Bill grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and attended The Hawken School in Lyndhurst, Ohio.

Upon graduation from high school, he attended The Ohio State University in Columbus. He also attended banking schools at Northwestern University and The University of Florida. He is a Life Member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Bill began a long and successful banking career in 1967 in Richmond, Virginia. In 1969, he moved to West Palm Beach, Florida continuing his banking career.

In 1980. he moved to Vero Beach to head the trust department at Florida National Bank. He retired in 2001 as First Vice President, Private Client Services of Sun Trust Bank in Vero Beach. During his banking career, Bill served as President of The Florida Bankers Association, Trust Division in 1991-92 and in 2002 he was voted into The Florida Bankers Association Trust Bankers Hall of Fame. Bill was also very active for 18 years with The Florida Bar and Florida Bankers Annual Liaison Conference by serving on its steering committee and in 1985 was awarded a special commendation by both professions acknowledging his dedication to the quality of both professions.

In the early and mid 1980's. Bill was involved in various community functions in Vero Beach. He served for several years on the Riverside Theater Trust Board and The Association for Retarded Citizens board. He was also active in The Vero-Treasure Coast Kiwanis Club. He and Barbara are currently members of Save the Chimps, Ft.

Pierce, The Heritage Foundation of Indian River County, and The Humane Society of Indian River. Bill was a member of the former Riomar Bay Yacht Club in Vero Beach. Bill has always been active in the Republican Party. He served on the Indian River Executive Committee and as President of The Republican Men's Club. In 1985, he received an invitation attended Ronald Reagan's second Inauguration Inaugural Ball in and Washington.

Bill has been married for 25 years to Barbara Kay Stewart who survives him. He is also survived by four children, Davd P. of Atlanta, Georgia, William Jr. and James of Lake Worth, Florida and Kelly Sarah of Driggs, Idaho and three granddaughters, Quinlan, Lindzy and Hunter. The family would also like to thank Dr.

Michaela Scott, Dr. Garrick Kanzler, and oncology nurses Lucy, Renee, Susie and others. The family will receive friends 12 Noon 1 PM, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a Life Celebration Service beginning at 1 PM. A reception will follow at Quail Valley River Club. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com Indian River County ROY A. "BUB" CAMERON JR. Mr. Roy A. "Bub" Cameron 60, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

Bub was a Vero Beach native and son of the late Roy and Peggy Cameron. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School and attended Indian River Community College. Before his retirement Bub had worked as the harvesting foreman for Oslo Packing House in Vero Beach. He was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach. Outside of his expected antics and questionable vocals, Bub could be found enjoying time on the water with his family and friends in pursuit of a state record bass.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Nancy Peterson Cameron, son Rhett Harlan Cameron, sisters Gloria Salo and her husband Keith, Hilda Martin and Geraldine of Vero Beach. (KELLY) COOK Virginia (Ginny), formerly of Stuart, was born October 1, 1922 in Chicago, IL to the late James F. and Nora Crowley Kelly and died on April 27, 2014 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. Virginia graduated from Loretto Academy and attended DePaul University in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert E.

Cook. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Muriel von Albade and Marian Whitting and grandson, Christopher Kelly Cook. She is survived by her sister, Norma K. Sommer, George Whitting and by her four children; Robert Kelly (Cheryl) Cook, Patricia (Warner) Young, Colleen (John) Dangler and Kathy Donley. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Amy (Don) Textor, Jennifer (Jason) Kehrer, Heather Donley, Michael (Brooke) Donley, Julie (Tony) Ave, Megan (Bill) Bissmeyer, Charles Cook and James (JP) Cook.

Nine great grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews and their children also survive. Visitation will be on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 9-11 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Fortville, IN followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. IRENE MORTENSEN April 3, 1925 April 25, 2014 Irene Anna Rowland Mortensen, a long-time Stuart Yacht Country Club resident and local artist known for her portraits and Florida seascapes died Friday. Irene was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and later moved with her parents Anna and Thomas Rowland to New Rochelle, New York where she worked as an artist drawing the animated Mighty Mouse for Terry Toons. It was there in New York that she met and later Air married Ed Mortensen, a wed in young 1946 captain and had in the Army Corps. They were first of their four children the following year. In 1950 the family moved to Larchmont in suburban Westchester where Ed worked for a publishing firm and Irene soon gained a reputation as an accomplished portrait artist.

Her many commissions included pastels of such notables as the Archbishop of New York, bandleader Ray Ellis and following her relocation to Chicago in 1961 individual portraits of the NFL Chicago Bears. Irene, Ed and their four children lived in suburban Winnetka on Chicago's north shore until the couple retired, in 1972, to Marathon, Fla. There Irene concentrated on seascapes and Florida scenes while remaining active in portrait work. Irene and Ed relocated to Stuart in 1977 where the artist became an active member of the Martin County Art Associates, the National League of American Pen Women and the Woman's Club of Stuart. Irene is survived by her husband Ed, children Christopher, Kathleen, Maryann, Gary, brother Ralph Rowland of Cheshire Connecticut, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

ULBRICH Frederick A. Ulbrich, 90, of Stuart passed away April 24, 2014. He was born April 8, 1924 in New Jersey. Fred served in the US Army during WWIl. Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.

In prior years, he derived much pleasure doing volunteer work for Hospice and Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean and his son, Rick. Survivors include his wife Ruth, his brother Bob, three children, Cheryl, Doug, and Beverly, grandchildren Meagan, Justin, Shane, Brandt, Paige, Leigh and Scott, great grandchildren Braeden and Jude, and a large extended family. His family will hold a celebration of his life. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Treasure Coast.
